BIG X is perhaps one on its own, created to assist in education through the Off road world. As founder I didn't get up one morning and decide I was going to do this, retired before I was 40 life was supposed to be relaxed, that was until I met two youth workers who had been trying to get a bike project off the ground.

Invited to attend a meeting and if I say I felt like a christian amongst Romans would sum up how i felt. It was soon as clear as mud the two years of meeting that preceded the one I was attending had resulted in a lot of promise and little more. As I sat there I heard how so many thought it was a good idea, but didn't know what to do, or how to move forward. The local college were represented and all I can say about their input was its was crap.

With a small investment we had some off road clothing and a couple of bikes. My own 426 Yamaha, a KXE trial bike (which didn't run) and a a scooter. Needless to say things had to improve, that was 5 years ago. Since those meagre days I have invested in providing what I feel is still a long way from where I want us to be, but we now have over 30 bikes.

With the assistance of two great friends who have been very helpful (checkout 4tech moto) we can deliver accredited courses, and we do so each week of the year.
We have both MX, Endro, Quads, Buggies, Trials, Supermoto,Pit bikes Thumpstars. I said at the outset I wouldn't stand in a field and watch a gang of kids ride about on modified (old) road bikes and thats very true of today. Unless its the best, we don't have it or use it. That's excluding our intention to hold twist and go scooter cross, it's the future!!!

We run an Aprila team with the very latest 450 and 550 RXV bikes.
We have a fleet of 230 cc CCM and Honda which are ideal for beginners and are also great fun as Dirt Bike Rider found when they came to test the Aprilia bikes.
We work with a number of High Schools and Youth organisations.
